The Observation & Action Network Grants Program is an initiative that invites Architecture students across India who are passionate about transforming their cities/towns to creatively respond to the challenges they see.
The OAN strives to create a network where students can involve themselves directly with identifying and solving real urban challenges with people in their neighborhoods while also connecting with other creative leaders throughout the world. The competition awards $500 USD for 3 ideas towards implementation of their proposals.
OAN Grants Program 2020-21 was kicked off with 42 teams across India submitting ideas despite all the prevalent conditions. 3 winning entries were selected from this group to be mentored over the period of the next 6 – 9 months to execute their ideas.
Project team: Vidhya Mohankumar, Srivardhan Rajalingam.
Partner Organisations: Center for The Living City, National Association for Students of Architecture.
